ChamomileThis humble little flower with the fantastic aroma is truly a wonder plant. It contains essential oils, flavonoids, ethers etc. It has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, sedative, and antiviral properties. A cup of chamomile helps your stomach in many ways. It is reported to have anti-inflamatory, healing, antiseptic and anticonvulsant properties in the human stomach and duodenum.

Babies aged 2 – 8 weeks old suffering from colic benefit from chamomile which reduces colic attacks. Prepare the chamomile tea, like you prepare ordinary tea. Let it steep for 5 – 6 minutes, until it has a lovely golden color. If you wish to give it to a baby, let it cool and pour it in a bottle.
