Buy the best set of non-stick cookware you can possibly afford. Brace yourself and throw away the old favourite pan that you have had since time immemorial. If you use a non-stick pan you will do yourself a favour. First and foremost you will use very little fat if any. Alternatively, when sautéing, you can use some chicken, vegetable, or beef broth or even wine instead of loads of butter or oil.
