If you don’t already have a salad spinner, buy one without delay. You will never have to see another soggy salad again.

Apart from spinning lettuce and rocket for salad, I use the spinner to help me freeze herbs.

When you buy herbs from the market, such as parsley, celery, dill, mint even chards and spinach, leeks and green onion, you can wash them and then dry them thoroughly in your spinner. You can chop them up and place them in freezer bags, label them and pop them in the freezer. This way you can always have herbs when cooking. And if you make a nice vegetable soup, you can just add one or two handfuls of the herbs and veggies you want, and it is ready in a jiffy!
